The weather is very mild for the time of year... the temperature is still in double figures.
We went for walk this morning starting off at Neumanns Flash...
... before heading towards Marbury Country Park.
Crossing the Trent and Mersey Canal into the woods of Marbury.
A quick stop at the woodland bird hide was well worth it... plenty of birds on the feeders...
... this little Robin came close enough for me to capture a shot.
As we headed back home we came across this little tree... covered in little Christmas decorations.
It was in the middle of nowhere in the woods between Marbury Country Park and the canal.
It's wonderful what you come across just by getting out for a bit of fresh air.

I would have been so excited to find that tree out there. sweet little bird and a beautiful peaceful spot to visit
The sunshine sure looks nice. The tree would be a nice treat to stumble across unexpectedly.
What a nice time you had, lovely canal.
looking like a lovely walk while the weather was still good for it Andrew; pretty scenes, and the decorated Christmas tree was an unexpected bonus for you both
love the surprise decorated tree. really cute.
Great surprise and enjoyed viewing through your lens on your walk.
How absolutely cool that somebody decorated that tree ... I love this little secret discovery. It was a great walk even without that, but then really special with it.
Bonjour dear Andrew, thanks for taking us with you in this special walking, that tree is beautiful and perfect, an adorable surprise!

We haven't had too much sun lately Andrew, good to see you experience a minute or two of it. There's a few placesa round here where that tree would have lost its decorations pretty smartish.
What a beautiful area and wonderful captures for the day!! I love the "surprise" Christmas tree, too! Thanks for sharing the beauty, Andrew! Hope you have a great week!
I recognise those paths and I think I had a picture of a Robin on the post with the nail in, but it isn't as good as yours. From Findlay
Love nature photo journey with you and love the delightful decorated tree as the finale ~ thanks, carol
Lovely little robin, and what a nice surprise to find a decorated tree in the woods!
It really fires up the imagination as to why someone has decorated that particular tree in the middle of nowhere.
That's some beautiful country, Andrew! Great shot of the robin!
What a delightful walk ... your robins are so different than ours. I think they are adorable (ours are bigger and a little bossy, but lovable just the same). I love the little decorated tree in the middle of nowhere ... somebody was very thoughtful and full of the Christmas spirit ... and how nice that you were able to share in it. Lovely post ...
