Santa has arrived early..................................................... I have a new camera

I have just had a new camera body delivered... a Nikon D7100
I have been using a Nikon D5000 for four years and intend to keep it as a backup.

The D7100 is still a DX format camera not full frame but the crop factor will help for wildlife images.
Thank you Santa

Fantastic, wishing you lots of great shutter moments!

Ken Rockwell, whose opinions on camera gear I value, loves the D7000/7100 camera and I like his take on the various user guides. I always learn a lot when looking them up:
Ken Rockwell on the D7100 and the User Guide

Full frames are often overrated, in my opinion. I have for example the D300s, and I would have not changed to full format had I not needed it for various projects.

Yay for the new present! (I sure hadn't noticed anything missing in your wonderful images and can't see how they can get better, but I look forward to seeing what you do!).

A very Merry Christmas to you! And thanks for your great posts and comments all year!

well done Andrew; it looks like a real beauty; looking forward to seeing your follow up photos taken with it. I read a review and it's mighty impressive. Best wishes...

Enjoy it Andrew.
I wouldn't go back to anything other than full frame I wish I could afford medium format. It's horses for courses.

Andrew, I think Santa's sat nav has gone on the blink, he seems to have delivered to the wrong address??

It looks like a great bit of kit (just a shame about the name!!), I'm looking forward to seeing some great images!...[;o)
