A happy ending to the week...............................................................................

In my last post I mentioned the Mute Swans nest we had been keeping an eye on for the last few weeks had unfortunately been abandoned.

Yesterday morning on my way to work I passed the fishing ponds at Marston where I know another pair have been nesting... and what a lovely surprise... two little cygnets.

I arranged to meet Mandy on my way home from work to capture a few images.
She was already snapping away as I arrived around 6.30pm.... the fist three images are hers.

" Where have Mum and Dad gone? "

After the disappointment of the the River Weaver nest these little beauties put smiles back on our faces.

How cute are they?

What a lovely way to end the week.

They were still doing well as I passed them tonight... hopefully more pics over the weekend.
