I struggle to capture still images of Coal Tits..... they are in and out in a flash

I see some beautiful birds visiting my garden feeders.
I have managed to capture images of them over the years... but I have always struggled with Coal Tit's.

I have been experimenting with slow motion video this past week.
By chance I captured a few seconds of a Coal Tit on one of my feeders.

This is probably the longest a Coal Tit has stayed on one of my feeders while I have been present.
I was so lucky to be using the camcorder at the time.
This little clip is slowed down to half speed... it's a lovely little bird to see.

This bird looks just like the chickadees that come to my feeders. I got curious and looked "coal tit chickadee" up on Mr. Google. Apparently they are in the same family, and may possibly be the same species...

I like both the still and the video--with such quick birds, it is hard to get a good shot. I usually don't succeed.

I have the same problem with Nuthatches, they are so hyper it's hard to capture a decent shot of them standing still! Great job with the slow motion.

They are so cute! They look a lot like our Black-capped Chickadees who are the same way.

Wow, half speed appears normal speed. These little guys need to slow down and enjoy life.

Great idea that is to slow them down. Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.

Nice little Coal Tit, yes, they don't stay around very long. I love the work of your camcorder.

Great photo and video. That bird certainly does move fast.

Your Coal Tit sure does remind me of my Carolina Chickadees. They usually like fast food....grab and go somewhere else to eat.
Loved the video!

Coal tits are such zippy little birds, like my grey fantails that never hold still. Good shot and great little video.
As you know, I have a great affinity with coal tits.
