Delamere Forest and Blakemere Moss................................... the Wildlife

On my recent visit to Delamere Forest.I did see some wildlife.
Blakemere Moss had Greylags and Canada Geese... plus Coots, Mallards and Lapwings...
...and a big colony of Black-headed Gulls... but all a bit too far away to capture decent images.
The paths around Blakemere Moss are very popular with dog walkers so the birds stay well away from the shoreline
 The Greylags and Canada Geese were enjoying the sunshine.

The Black-headed Gulls did occasionally fly within range.


This little Great Spotted Woodpecker was quite high up... but I did manage a few record shots.

It was so much easier to capture inanimate objects.

    It looks like a crack of dawn job. Though in my experience whichever side of the water one is on the birds will be on the other.
    Nice shots of the Greater Spotted woodpecker.

    That is one of the wonderful aspects of my Annadel Park I go to all the time. Dogs are not allowed and therefore all the wildlife are much at ease. I am liking the gull shot just above the woodpecker. Great inflight image.

    Looked like a great day to be out and about. You caught some really beautiful scene's. Funny too, yes the inanimate are much more cooperative than the living. They definetly stay put!
