Willow Warblers........ and a new bird on my patch

I had a lovely walk around Neumanns Flash on Sunday.
I had my video camera and lightweight tripod with me and recently this has become my default walking combo.

I saw a Willow Warbler feeding it's noisy youngsters and manged to capture a couple of clips.
(apologies for the poo shot but it made me laugh)
The highlight of the walk though was while returning to the car I spotted my first Redstarts on my patch.... priceless!

I recommend a view of my last two posts if you havn't seen them.
The badgers were wonderful to see.

  13. Hi there - I always like getting a new bird on my "home patch" - so much more interesting than a new bird elsewhere that is pretty much a sure thing.

  15. Another wonderful clip, Andrew! And of course, it reminded me of the baby gulls we saw. I've never owned a video camera, but must admit it would have been lovely to capture my little guys on videotape...

  16. Great video. That parent bird certainly had to work hard to keep the young ones fed - they are so persistent!

  19. Thanks everyone for your lovely comments...

Larry the camcorder is a little Canon Legria FS200 and is so portable and has an amazing 41x zoom. I always try to use a tripod though.
