I captured this image a few years ago at the Wildlife and Wetlands Trust reserve at Martin Mere.
Red-crested Pochard (Netta rufina).
My son Craig lives quite near to the reserve so I have no excuses for not visiting more often...
...and I also get to meet up with the little fella below.
My grandson Arthur is now two and a half years old.
He loves the outdoors... and it's about time I got him interested in wildlife.
Well Authur is lovely and I love his boots. Really smart. great shots of the duck.
ReplyDeletehandsome and cute. :)
ReplyDeleteIt definitely time to teaching about wildlife, nicely.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness - what a fabulous bird capture! Your grandson sure is cute too!
ReplyDeleteArthur has grown up so fast, he is truly precious and looks so full of joy.. maybe a small cheap camera for him to take photos.. the Pochard is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous bird! Your grandson is so cute. Great boots! :-)
ReplyDeleteI don't think I have ever seen that bird before.
ReplyDeleteAndrew, super, grandson is wonderful:-)
ReplyDeleteNever thought much about ducks till now and I am not an easy nut to crack but this is really something I have seen millions of duck photos and I've seen Donald, and Daffy duck along with so many other ducks lol. If I were you and had any kind of sense I would make this into a poster of sorts because this will sell!.. Even I would love to use it for wallpaper for my computer it really is a great photo Miss Lady!
