Hawk Walk Experience Christmas gift...................... really looking forward to it

We received a wonderful Christmas gift from my grandson Arthur.

A One-Hour Hawk Walk Experience for two.

The Hawk Walk Experience... description from their website.

"Feel the rush of wind beneath a bird of preys wings as it lands on your gloved fist in an exilarating experience you will never forget".
"With a sociable Harris Hawk for company enjoy a stroll through the Cheshire countryside with a friend or loved one and learn about these beautiful birds of prey".

"Handle and fly a barn owl, kestrel or another bird of prey while you enjoy an hour-long walk".

We watched a falconry display while visiting at the Cheshire Show last June.

All the images on this post were taken then.

"Bring your camera along to take photographs of the birds"  says the website.

You bet we will.
I hope to have plenty of images to share when we get to handle the birds.
We have to use the voucher by the 25th of March so will be booking our trip soon.

I don't blog enough or visit enough, but am so glad to find you are still blogging Andrew.
Visiting from WBW.

I'm sighing with pleasure by your beautiful photos.
The Barn Owl's markings are truly exquisite.

What a great gift you've been given. The words you've quoted from the website are very enticing and imagery filling.

The last photo is ultra beautiful.

One aspect about the internet is discovering just how many gloriously beautiful interesting birds share this planet with us.
I think we are truly fortunate, and folk like you give folk like the opportunity to see them in a personal way.
Thanks

What a fun experience, and to look forward to the close encounter. The owl up close is fantastic, I can hardly see the beak for all the feathers, and the little black and white feathers that make little streaks on the light feathers are amazing, too. The last hawk has a cute expression on its face, too.

Oh Andrew, you might expect I loved this for you all and sure wish we had something similar to see around here. My friend who is a Master Falconer just got a male Harris Hawk yesterday. He was looking forward to his arrival. I will get to see one then for the first time when I go visit soon. The birds, the photography here is splendid, bravo~
