House Sparrow................................................................. enjoying my log feeder

House Sparrow... I don't see as many of these lovely birds as I should.
They are still on the Red List in the UK.

I have a ton of them here. Want me to send you a few boxes full?

Cute feeder. There doesn't seem to be any shortage of House Sparrows on this side of the Atlantic, we could send you some.

I now am having quite a number every day in my back garden to feed. They come for a chat in the Holly bush everyday in the front garden.

Hard to believe that a bird that is this adaptable can be in decline.

Good to see yours are doing well!

The swallow in ny picture is a different species to the UK one - which is called the Barn Swallow else where. A Barn Swallow in Australia would be a really good bird.

Love that he has his beak open...you don't often catch birds in mid-note!
