It's been pouring with rain.... but I have had some amazing birds in the garden

It's been a terrible day weather wise and all my plans went out the window.
The rain has been quite heavy today (the sun is now shining as I write)
I have had a Bullfinch on the feeders nearly every day for a fortnight... today I had two.
I captured the male in this video clip... a sorry sight in the wet.

Highlight of the afternoon was a visit from a Great Spotted Woodpecker.
The regulars were all feeding in the rain but "hoover" the Woodpigeon was looking a bit forlorn.
The entire video was captured through the window.

Birds and animals just go on and do what they got to do...

Extraordinary again...I sound like a broken record, I know.

Oh, and I'll be humming the song 'feedin' in the rain' now, for the rest of the day. ;-)

Thanks for stopping by and linking up with your bird treasure this weekend!! Much appreciated.

The rain sure didn't slow them down. Boom, Bobbi and Gary.

Great video! I really like the woodpecker!

Neat clip. I often see more activity at the feeders on a rainy day than a sunny one!

Beautiful birds despite the rain.

HI Andrew well you certainly did not waste you time just because it was raining. Great video and they do look be-dragged in the rain. great to have the woodpecker at the feeder. Hope you are having a good weekend.
