A bit of rain didn't stop these Goldfinches from feeding in my garden.
I had twelve of these lovely little birds on my feeders at the same time... a record count for me.
These were on the Nyger Seed feeder.
The video clip was taken through the window... I made sure I stayed warm and dry.
It's another short clip... just 30 seconds of your time.

they are remarkably colored birds. i'm certain they were pleased to have your feed on a dreary day...
Beautiful and hungry little birds.
Nice footage and excellent species count Andrew
That was real rain! And it did not seem to upset them the least little bit. What a fun video. A grey 30 seconds of Goldfinches chowing down in the rain.
and they don't even need umbrellas... LOL.. great capture in the rain. you have free entertainment all day
Very handsome finches! Nice clip!
they were looking for the energy boost to see them through the cold; lucky birds having your backyard to call into for that
HI Andrew Oh the video was too short. I could have watched them longer they are such a lovely bird but they do not eat niger seed in my garden often.
Beautiful, Andrew!
Greetings, RW & SK
So lovely -- and 12! I can't imagine having so many at once.
Lucky you to have 12 at one time. Pretty colors on the birds.
Beautiful birds to see in the garden Andrew. 'mine' are eating the sunflower hearts so quickly I have a job to keep the feeders topped up, and they're messy eaters too!
I could watch them for hours!...[;o)
Andrew wonderful video.
Greetings.
That's a great video, you can see them feeding so clearly. From Findlay
Remarkable video Andrew.
Beautiful little birds and its great to have them so close to you. Great piece of video.
The rain doesn't stop my goldfinches or any of my birds from eating either ... if anything they are more aggressive eaters when it is wet or cold. Guess they need the food to keep them warm. Great video. I keep forgetting I have a video option on my camera. I may have to try that some day. Nice post, Andrew

That was a fun video, Andrew!
Our American Goldfinches have not yet arrived locally for their fall migration but should be here any time.
Just put out feeders to welcome them!
They are so lovely!!
12?! How wonderful!
Such little beauties. Our Goldfinches here, also seem to especially like the feeder on rainy days.
