The Ravens sharing my biscuits.................................. Llandudno North Wales

I can't believe it was August 2012 when I shared some biscuits with the Ravens on the west shore at Llandudno in North Wales.

I took loads of images from the passenger seat of the car while parked next to a wall...
...we had put out some broken biscuits to attract Herring Gulls for a photo shoot.

I never expected to see the Ravens...and just clicked away...

...most of these images I haven't shared before... the last few I have.
I had never been this close to such a magnificent wild bird... the largest member of the crow family in the UK

Stunning birds to see so close... almost too close to capture with the camera.

I have checked the times the images were taken... they were this close for over fifteen minutes.

Picking up the last of the crumbs...

...while keeping me in it's sight all the time.
A moment I will never forget...and by the way the biscuits of choice were... Hobnobs.

That first shot I find quite menacing. Could easily have had a part in Hitchcock's film 'The Birds'

They are amazing birds and few people appreciate them. I was happy to read that you do. These are incredible close-ups Andrew. I don't remember you posting them before (may have been on the road at the time) so thank you for showing them again.

You can see the intelligence in those eyes and you should feel honored to be so close (great shots, awesome detail) because they are seldom so trusting. I guess if you have the right biscuit ... :) Enjoyable post, Andrew ...

"Stunning" is the only word that fits Andrew. A fabulous bird when seen so close. Mostly I get distant views from the still very wild Ravens in these parts.

Hello Andrew..I am guessing that this is the post you wanted to use for Nature Notes since you linked two days ago. These are wonderful photos of your favorite walking area and I read above that you are having trouble. I am so sorry and I wonder what could be wrong. I am glad that the steroids have helped, but I hope you can some answers and of course your mobility back too... Michelle from Nature Notes..
