House Sparrow moulting..................................................................................

Some of the garden birds are losing their feathers... new will replace the old quite soon

This little House Sparrow is bearing it's chest to the world.

Before I started following birding blogs, I had no idea that a bird could molt. I have paid attention since and noticed quite a few come and go with strange looking feather-do's. Your photo of this little sparrow is lovely.

Of all the House Sparrows we have here, I've never seen one molting.
