My local woodlands.................................................. the path to Haydn's Pool

This is the route I take to visit my local woodlands and my favourite place for watching birds...Haydn's Pool.

2012 was a washout with so much rain... the usual muddy shore (a haven for waders) was under water for most of last year.
It's hard to believe the pool had to be refilled during November 2011 due to the drought that Summer and Autumn... they needn't have bothered.

  2. It's such a shame. Haydn's Pool has had nothing to see really the last 2 months of visits we have made. This is a really lovely picture.
P.S. I have sent you a private message on facebook regarding a secret cunning plan!

  3. Such lovely countryside to wander through and watch for birds.
Wish we had some of your surplus water in our extreme heat wave.
