I have just had a lovely couple of days away... visiting the North Wales coast.
I stayed in the small town of Conwy (Conway in English).
Conwy Castle was built by the English 1286-1289 and dominates the town.
My B&B was next to the castle with lovely views of the estuary and harbour.
Conwy harbour is home to the smallest house in Britain.
Also known as Quay House it was a residence from the 16th Century until 1900.
A lady in traditional Welsh costume stands outside on most days.
Conwy Bay is an inlet of the Irish Sea.
The town sits on the estuary of the River Conwy.
The town has lots of quaint narrow streets to explore.. the town wall is a circuit of 3/4's of a mile.
The view from my bedroom window.
Cheers!

a stately castle; how lovely to relax and explore somewhere new; nice for the memories now
I found this very interesting Andrew.
I've spent many hours at Conwy nature reserve, and never ventured over to the town.
Maybe next visit.
I bet that poor woman is fed up standing there like that lol
It is beautiful there in North Wales, I was in the neighbourhood in the eighties of the last century, it seemed ages ago! I walked there The Offa's Dike path.
Regards and nice weekend.
you're a goof. :)
i like that tiny red house.
Andrew, that's great, beautifully you enjoyed it. At least, thanks to you and your photos, I'm there too.
Last photo super ... on health!
A grand little town. Used tobe a good chippy in the castle walls.
You had a fantastic view from your room! I'd love to visit a town like that. The little house has me intrigued. Any idea of the square footage? Glad you had a good time!
Two years ago I spent holidays in Wales - it was a great time! Your post has just brought memories:) Ta!
Cheers! And lucky you! I adore that part of Wales and it's been so long since I was there!
Just got back from Wales a few weeks ago. We nearly stopped in Conwy, maybe next time, looks great.
Cheers! Thanks for the tour of Conwy. That looks like a place I would sure enjoy.
Hey good to see you in my neck of the woods - although it's been a while since I visited Conwy itself - the little house is 10ft by 6ft Brian
