The first day of the month and I woke early to see a clear sky... for a change.
4:15am and a walk along the river just before sunrise...
As the sun climbed I captured the moment with the cameras dawn setting.
As the sun climbed I captured the moment with the cameras dawn setting.
Long shadows are something I haven't witnessed for a while... I was still half asleep so the pace of this snail was ideal for me to capture.
Just before five and the sun lit up this garden hut near the jetty and all it's decorations.
The bird feeders made it an ideal spot to sit and capture the early risers.
It was still only 5:15am as I took this image... by 6:30am the sky had clouded over... by 7 it was raining.
I really hope July's weather is drier then June's.
well it was worth the early morning rise then Drew; you were able to come back indoors having captured some really special photographs. I love the hollyhock too (if that's what it is :))
ReplyDeleteYou got some great scenes for getting up early. Laughed at the snail comment.
ReplyDeletei enjoy the quiet times of the morning. i like quiet. as i have gotten older i need the time to wake up & get ready for the day. didn't use to be that way ... i would wake up ready to face the day. coffee does not work. makes me nervous. great views. what type of flower is that? ... just gorgeous! (:

Boy the early bird does catch the best pictures, I don't think I would be much faster than a snail at that time of the day either. It's rained here a lot lately too, maybe I just need to get up earlier. Great pictures Andrew.
ReplyDeleteAndrew, great series of photos. Are you a morning person, sunrise is amazing.
