The Dunnock (Hedge Sparrow in my youth) is another lovely bird I see in my garden.
From a distance it's a dull grey/brown little bird that's a bit flighty... not easy to capture with the camera.
Dunnocks are another lovely little bird I have had nesting in the garden... the images below are juveniles.

The young Dunnock looks a bit like the young Robin, great pictures.
You got some great shots despite them being difficult to photograph! You must have a great garden to have so many birds around.
I love this little fellow, Andrew! Hope you have nice summer!
A great photo!
A very cute bird, - lovely to see!
Have a nice evening!
Great little bird. I have a Chipping Sparrow pair in my garden. They also like to feed on the ground. They very tiny seeds from what I have seen. Not to afraid of humans if you sit or stand still.
your photos are so clear and sharp and the first one feels like i could reach in and stroke his feathers.
All the juveniles are so funny!! Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
Beautiful images of the Dunnock.
Lovely shots. There's something quite endearing about the Dunnock. Always nice to see,
sweet little birds indeed
Hello sweetie!
To me they would be an LBJ. I wouldn't know any different unless someone told me otherwise. I bet they are fun to watch.
Great close-up photos. It must have been really good to have them nesting close by.
What a cutie! Great shots, Andrew!
I saw this bird the irst tiem in oct last year. I was surprised of how beautiful it is. So dark in colors yet really goodlooking and nice in appearance.
great views. such a cutie. (:

Not a 'dull' bird at all.
Good to see the young ones.

I love the feathers of this bird. Excellent shots Andrew!!
Such cute little birds!
He's a cutie and definitely not just any old "LBJ" bird. (If there is such a thing -- I used to call birds that before I started looking harder at them.)
