Thundersprint 2012 takes over my little town..................................................

Thundersprint is a motorcycle event for classic and exotic motorcycles held annually during May in my home town Northwich and the attendance is estimated to be well over 100,000 over the two days.
I have added a link to the THUNDERSPRINT website for more info if your interested.

It's the biggest event of it's type in the whole of Europe.

Just a few images for the moment... I will probably be sharing these all week.

Today the bikes were on display and the public roads used for the racing tomorrow closed at 4 o'clock.

Yes it is what you think it is.

Vintage Harleys... these weren't part of the show just transport to the event by proud owners.

Yeh! Honestly girls I have this little blog... your images will be seen all over the world.
Haha! still got it!...lol.

The weather was fantastic... fingers crossed more for of the same tomorrow.

Northwich is a small town and what I love most about this event is it's FREE!... thats parking, access to all areas all for nothing.
That's what I think has makes it a success.

Reminds me of the BMW rally I came across while hiking through Garmisch-Partenkirchen a couple of years ago.

Wowee, that's a winner by no means. I think that is the funeral on two wheel, and I love those girls, whoopsee.

Fantastic Event, great assortment of motorcycles. There are a few places in North America that have events like that. Great blog today.

This is a sure different to your quiet rambles in the countryside Andrew. Thunder comes to town and with over 100,000 visitors that's going to be a lot of thunder. I hope it all goes well.

This looks to be a very festive competition. LOVE the one that is 1/2 car-1/2motorbike. It is so cool and clever. When they all revved their engines, I bert it could be heard all the way to London. I really enjoyed al of your photos. They were so colorful, and the two glass were really cute. genie

So do you enjoy these big events in your town? I know in ours we have quite a few, and I get tired of all the traffic it causes. Pretty girls and cars or motorcycles, they always seem to go together!

My hubby and I attended a lot of events like this one when we lived in California. He sold his Harley Road King two yrs. ago and we put all those days behind us... for now!

that's looking like a lot of noise in town. Glad it's a money-spinner and fun for all. Lots of colour and looks like the weather was just great for it too.

I had to laugh. If you run into the two gals again, tell 'em your promise was good. They made it all the way over to Gloucester...Massachusetts, USA.
