The city of Manchester is well known for it's rain.... and yesterday was typical.
It rained for most of the day... luckily for me I was at work.
Leaving for home the weather had changed for the better... bright sunshine and lovely clouds.
I had my little point and shoot with so I stopped to capture a few images.
I had my little point and shoot with so I stopped to capture a few images.
This one is looking back towards Manchester.
The view west from the same spot.
East towards the hills of the Pennines... the backbone of England.
This is towards my house............ it was throwing it down with rain over my little town.
Four miles further on and just a couple of miles from home... the rain was easing.
It had stopped by the time I got home... today has been similar... heavy rain and hail this morning.
I have today's images to share tomorrow.
love those first few of the puffy greys. :)

I can tell you right now the scenery is definitly not as beautiful as yours! Those clouds are magnificent! I was looking for this type when I made my header.
Love the clouds.
ReplyDeleteI love them as well, brilliant images.
ReplyDeletebeautiful scenery; glad you got the photos you did in between the stormy clouds Drew
ReplyDeleteThese are lovely captures; you always have such great looking skies
ReplyDeleteGreat series, Andrew! And yes, they are magnificent and dramatic skies!
ReplyDeleteYour skies look pretty much like ours do today. I never really take much notice of the sky or clouds. Rarely take any pictures of either. That all changes though when I am in the desert. The desert skies put on a grand show. I like that last picture. Big dividing line.
ReplyDeleteThe colors of the skies are very nice
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful skys and oh! that green field - stunning!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful skies.Love the last picture.
ReplyDeleteFrom one sky watcher to another, I LIKE EM! You have a lovely commute,
ReplyDeleteGreat clouds (and although I always talk about how glad I am not to be in rainy Oregon for the winter, I must admit that there is nothing, absolutely nothing, as wonderful as a sunny day after the rain stops! And looking at your post, I can almost smell that wonderful post-rain clean scent!
ReplyDeleteThose last clouds look quite threating, it is amazing the variety one sees in clouds.
ReplyDeleteApril showers yesterday, blue sky so far this morning! Clouds are so much more interesting than a clear blue sky!
ReplyDeleteClouds are wonderful and your photos too. An amazing spectacle.
ReplyDeleteGreetings.
Those are fantastic cloud formations, Andrew! I love the fourth photo!
ReplyDeletebeautiful blue skies and puffy clouds, I love them, and stand and stare, with the trees in front of the sky it is even better. when the sky is like this, i have to be careful driving because i want to watch the sky.

ReplyDeleteNot only are the skies and the tree beautiful - the design in your pics are remarkable!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful countryside view you experience daily going home from a hard day of work. I enjoy how your photos show your gratitude for being able to see this tree and WOW those clouds for background couldn't be more perfect.
