Anderton Nature Reserve...................................................... my special place

Anderton Nature Reserve... my favourite square mile in my local countyside.

Haydn's Pool.... a different view from my norm.
This is from near the new bird-hide... taken last Sunday... the first day of April 2012.

Witton Brook...water was extracted from this stream during November to refill Haydn's Pool after last years drought left it devoid of water... a sorry sight.
Haydn's Pool is behind the bush on the left... about forty foot higher than the brook (stream).

OK... I do have a lot of favourite square miles in the UK....but this is walking distance from home.

  7. Yes, Great Brittain is wunderful for walking, special in the countryside!
    I love it!
In the eighties of the last century we walked the Offa's Dike Path, the border between England and Wales, so wunderful.
    Enjoy the Easter weekend!

  15. I am so pleased to have you stop by for a visit with me just now, and I'm enjoying ever minute I'm here, perusing your blog. It seems the two of us --you and me---like to blog about the same things. I love birding...I love taking my camera on all my walks [beach, hot birding spots along the coast, and in and around parks in the city--plus even in my backyard].

I will feel honored to become your newest follower, and hope that we both get to take times in our day to stop by once in a while to enjoy each other's treasures in photos!!!
