I'm still sorting through all my images trying to file them in some sort of order... my computer and laptop both crashed last summer but I managed to download my images to an external hard drive... they were in filed in order (sort of) but unedited... the rubbish takes up space and I have been deleting loads as I go through them.
2007
It's a wonderful landscape... miles and miles of beautiful countryside.
The Summer Isles
I couldn't have wished for better weather.
Stac Pollaidh ( Stack Polly) is a 2000ft climb with a wonderful craggy top to scramble along.
Suilven.... stands behind the fishing port Lochinver.
These images don't show the half of the counties of Ross and Sutherland... I have some images on film I took on an earlier trip during the 1990's... I will have to dig them out to scan...
Things always improve the further NORTH you go. You said it I didn't. Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.

What a gorgeous place, Andrew!! Your photos have really taken my breath away! All that beauty and incredible skies as well! Really superb! Thank you for sharing. Hope you get your files/photos all taken care of soon, it is so frustrating to have something like this happen when the computers fail!! Have a great weekend!

Beautiful images, I remember Lochinver many years ago, it is my ultimate goal.
ReplyDeleteWonderfully beautiful scenery, wonderful colors and great photos.
ReplyDeleteGreat landscape you have there, you should come and see the Canadian Rockies.
ReplyDeleteThose are just beautiful -- what a great trip. I have the same problem with my files, with the one difference that my old pictures aren't nearly as good. Thanks for sharing yours!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful country dotted with funny names. I'm sure some names of places here in the States seem funny to you Brits.
ReplyDeleteyour first photograph is so beautiful Andrew. Know what you're talking about re the photo-file-saving; it starts to get out of hand. I'm in the same boat and it seems such a big task when you could be doing fun things; like taking more photos!
ReplyDeleteSo nice my friend ...
ReplyDeleteStunning images. Also like your garden in yesterday's post.
ReplyDeleteSo love the 'big sky country' you are sharing. We don't see enough of that here in central New Jersy. Thanks for sharing and good luck with your sorting/clean up project!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos and awesome skies and mountains. Looking forward to seeing more.
ReplyDeleteHoly cow! Gorgeous colors in those first three photos! I'm glad you didn't delete any of these.
ReplyDeleteThe weather looks perfect for photography and walking. Beautiful shots.
ReplyDeleteStunning countryside and sky. Such natural beauty!
ReplyDeleteGlorious!
ReplyDeleteOh how wonderful. I have similar photos (also film) of mostly Ross, except that it was in February and though the weather was fair, it wasn't sunny. Thanks for this!
ReplyDeleteIt looks as if you have the entire place to yourself! I can see why you like it so much. The skies are ever changing!
ReplyDeleteGreat to see these. I particularloy like the sharp shot of Stac Pollaidh.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful images Andrew. My home country is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI've got to disagree slightly with Gary of Vermilon River fame though. There are parts of northern Scotland that can be quite dire especially in the short winter days.Go west and though not on such a grand scale, just as bewitching.
Gorgeous scenery and lovely photos. The summer isles look like a lovely place to visit. Thanks for sharing, happy skywatching!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos.
ReplyDeleteRegards and best wishes

ReplyDeletethank you for my visit to Scotland, so very beautiful and a country I would love to visit.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous images Andrew, everytime I've visited Scotland it's been raining, so it's good to see that the sun does come out now and then.
ReplyDeleteWhat great blues! The mountain is fantastic.
