I had a lovely walk at Dunham Massey yesterday... wonderful sunshine but very cold.
Today stormy winds a wreaking havoc across the UK...
My journey home from work has taken me over an hour longer than usual.
These images were taken on one of the ponds in the deer park.
Children were feeding the birds... and the Black-headed Gulls were making the most of it.
The sun shining on the water gave a lovely golden glow... much better than my images show.

Fantastic, Andrew! The water running off the swan's bill is great!
I agree - that first picture with the water run off - awesome. Sandie
Great series, especially that swan!! Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.

such an apt title for this post Andrew. Don't envy the cold weather conditions when they're so bad. Love your white swan photograph, just perfect.
A beautiful serene Golden Pond - your fist capture of that elegant white swan is exquisite Andrew.
They are all very nice Andrew..... but i prefer the first one.
Greetings, Joop

You are amazing! Your photography is art!
I have a city park nearby with a large lake that harbors the usual suspects to places like that. I never pay it much attention for everyone has seen tame geese and ducks before. But I can see now it is a good opportunity to improve one's photographic skills. Thanks for showing me that.
It must have been wonderful to catch some sunshine and photos, well worth being an hour late arriving home. Lovely photos Andrew.
I love the water dripping in the first one and it is so peaceful looking but probably not peaceful with the gulls going...

The droplets from the swan and the flight shot are gorgeous!

Another good set. Try the saturation sponge on the water.
Hi there - I had forgotten how red the feet of BHG's are!
Not as many different species of gull down here - which is a shame as I like them!
Happy New Year!
