The Mansion House is closed for Winter.
Next stop the Winter Garden.... it's the largest in the UK.
the slaughterhouse is a cool building, but you can keep old stumpy. looks half man/half orangutan. :)
ReplyDeleteNice batch of photos! Too bad the Mansion House was closed. But it's probably pretty cold in there.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, old stumpy is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteGreetings!
You will have to go back next summer for the Mansion tour. We usually like the outside parts of the "great house" tours better anyway though. I thought that woodcarving was going to say "OLd Man Winter",
ReplyDeleteVery curious the first picture! But i like it :)
ReplyDeleteamazing the slaughter house for the venison. Have never tried it myself. The cold air obviously doesn't stop the masses getting out amongst it all and making the most of whatever's going. For you, a photographic exploration; well done Andrew. Tks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI've seen a few on the streets in town that look like they may have posed for the Ol Stumpy.
ReplyDeleteI love the stump. Kinda looks like a Sasquatch. Awesome!
ReplyDeleteA great place....I wonder how they got the deer in the slaughter house? Maybe they shot them outside and just dressed them in there.
ReplyDeleteI wonder who did that tree stump and that mansion is beautiful. sandie
ReplyDeleteThe second picture is lovely in all ways, Andrew!
ReplyDeleteA nice little pile, I surely would not like to have to do the dusting but the garden with half a dozen gardeners to help me out, would be a treat.
ReplyDeleteI love the way you go to all these interesting places and share them with us lesser mortals who have no chance to see them for ourselves.
I love the tree, and can't wait to see winter garden:)
ReplyDeleteAnother round of 'wow'!
ReplyDeleteI love that old tree stump :D
Love the sculpture! :)
ReplyDeleteI like Old Stump myself...have like seeing this place through your lens.
ReplyDeleteFantastic set of photos for SWF!I hope you had a good start into the new year and have a nice weekend!
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a popular place. Love your photos of the woods. Viewing your posts is like a trip to another place. I live in Connecticut in the US. Nancy
