I visited Powis Castle last summer but have just rediscovered these images while trawling through all my pictures and deleting stuff to free up space on my PC.
Powis Castle in Wales is well worth a visit
The gardens are lovely to see but are terraced and quite steep.
Minstrels and dancers decorate this lovely terrace.... overlooking the formal gardens.
And what a beautiful view it is to see.
When I was visiting the gardens were getting a haircut...
...tops off first...
....anything for the weekend Sir?
These lovely cottages can be hired for holidays.
The flower borders were filled to perfection.
The Yews have been a feature of Powis Castle for over a hundred years.
Photos of bygone years are displayed in the gardens... this is the hedge above being trimmed in 1925.
The Castle had a lot of history to reveal...Clive of India married into the family that owned Powis and there is a museum in the courtyard telling his story with loads of artifacts.
Peacocks wander around the grounds.
This little family were enjoying the crumbs dropped at the Cafe.
Not somewhere I've visited before but looks like a great place. Really like those baby Peacocks.
