Northern Soul.................................................................. wonderful memories

I grew up in the 1960's and reached my teens in the early 70's.
My music of choice was American Soul... very popular in the North West of England.
Lancashire, Cheshire, and Staffordshire had many nightclubs all putting on all nighters.
It was the music of the scooter boys... Lambrettas ruled.


Wigan Casino, The Torch...Stoke on Trent and The Twisted Wheel in Manchester did all nighters.
My local disco was at the Salter in Weaverham.
We all danced to........ NORTHERN SOUL








Note the baggy flared jeans and spinning dancers...this was our fashion and how we danced!
I hope you enjoy this post...it brought back loads of happy memories for me.

    definitely different than what the states were doing, but definitely takes talent, agility and room too! those bikes are something else!
