Birdwatching on my commute............ a short clip

I woke up a few days ago to a beautiful cloudless sky....
.... and as I left for work I had a clear view of the waning moon.
Unfortunately it didn't last for long.

As I headed towards Manchester (the rainy city of the UK) the clouds were building up. Geese (Canada and Greylags) were feeding on the stubble after the harvest. House Sparrows were in great numbers in the hedgerows... wonderful to see.

On my return journey....Swallows and Starlings were gathering on the telephone wires and feeding along with the Rooks, Crows and Cows??..... bird food is in plentiful supply.
It is only a two minute clip... I hope you enjoy it.

  5. I really enjoyed that. Each segment is rock solid with no camera movement. Most likely you have your camera tripod mounted all the time. Especially while moving in the car. That was very nice. I continue to learn video tips from your short clips.

  6. So kind of you to post this video. For someone like me who misses the Northern Hemisphere is is quite nostalgic to see the massing birds, the skies and landscapes. Thanks again Andrew.

  8. A great bit of editing.........inspires me to video again. House Sparrows have done well this year but Robins seem scarce.

  10. Another great video. Those opening scenes really look cool, the still clouds and the two different speeds of the near and middle fields are wild. Your vid's keep looking better and better. Very engaging!

  11. Love your videos Andrew.
The Starlings swirling round like that reminds me it won't be long till they start their spectacular roosting sequences.
