My garden Robin................................................................... a right little poser

Robins are lovely birds to see in the garden and will happily follow me around if I am digging or weeding...
...seeking out worms I might bring to the surface.

Robin (Erithacus rubecula)

This morning as I topped up the feeders put fresh water in the bird bath and brushed up a few autumn leaves this little Robin was always just a few feet away... showing no fear... typical garden Robin behaviour.

Robins that inhabit rural areas are far more wary.
Away from Britain the Robin is renowned for being particularly shy.

I finished my chores, made a cup of tea...  and with camera in hand sat on the doorstep watching the garden...
...with my red breasted buddy perched by my side.

Chciałbym mieć też takiego ślicznego kumpla. Uwielbiam rudziki, ale rzadko je widuję. Pozdrawiam.
I also have such a lovely friend. I love robins, but rarely get to see them. Yours.

Somebody loves you, Andrew! This little sweetie has decided you're no threat, and is perhaps thinking of setting up a home in your garden.
I always say it, but your robins are SO much cuter than ours in North America.

Robins are adorable. I saw one today too, but it didn't sit still long enough for me to get a pic of it.

What a nice little bird! Strange how on the mainland of Europe they are shy - I have read that it is only the UK birds that are garden fork dwellers!

Glad you enjoyed the long post - my last one from central Australia is going up tonight.

I wish the robins in my garden would also love to pose for my camera. But they are so very shy.
Wonderful photos!
