More images of the White Squirrel........................ in the Northwich Woodlands

I returned to Marbury Country Park this morning to see if I could find the White Squirrel again.

It only took me a couple of minutes to find it.

I must have spent an hour or so just following it around while it foraged in the undergrowth.

 So cute... don't you think?

I even managed to capture a short video clip... I hope to share that soon.

  1. That's awesome! I've never seen a white squirrel. It's done well to have escaped predation this long!

__I've seen but one white squirrel, and he was in Cohasset Ma. now, so many years ago. These are fine photos Andrew, and they generated this... below.

  10. This was so unusual I had to do a little reading on white squirrels because I live in an area in Texas where we have huge populations of fox squirrels and I, like most others, have never seen a white one. I learned in the US they are generally either morphed or albino Eastern gray squirrels. This one appears to be a morph since it doesn't have red eyes. What a discovery. Your photos are awesome! Thanks for sharing them with us.

  12. Very cool! I love to spot odd leucistic criters like your white squirrel. We occasionally have piebald white-tailed deer show up near me; I have yet to get a decent photo of one though.

  17. I'm puzzled we have one in our local cemetery and one a few miles away in woodland. Quite a while ago a cemetery around 15 miles away had six! One of which was albino. Sorry if it's one in a million looks like we've won the lottery in Kent!
