My PC problems appear to be sorted.... a few more images from last weekend

I am fairly confident I have overcome my recent computer problems
This post is more of a test to share a few more images from our trip to Eaton Hall last weekend.

 The formal gardens behind the mansion

 These are the gates to the orchard and vegetable gardens.

 Fountains in the formal gardens 

 The Camellia Walk... reputably the longest corridor in the world

 The Dukes 19th Century carriage collection

 His memorabilia from his army career... not too many people can keep their old helicopters!

 The garden borders were fantastic

 There was an area planted with wild flowers... it was so lovely to see


The vegetable garden beds were all bordered by stepover apples and pears
Pruned to grow low... hence the stepover name.

New to me but quite common after checking the internet... I will try some for my garden next year

These are the gates that lead up to the Dukes front door... it's a wonderful place to visit.

    What a grand place to visit. Unusual for me to see the helicopter in that type of flight display. I usually see them sitting on the ground. Also unusual to see apples grown that way!

    Glad your PC has recovered! That place is remarkable. I could walk miles and miles along a corridor lined with camellias -- how very lovely it must be!

    WOW! This is a fantastic place to visit. the entraance gates are very impressive as is the mansion. The gardens are magnificnet and I also have never seen apples grown tht way. I am suprised people do not pick them! Good that your computer is fixed.

    all of these photos are fantastic, the gates are AMAZING and i love that roof on the pathway... so true, not many can keep their helicopters.

    I remember there was an army surplus store in Notts where you could but second hand surface to air missiles, should you have desired.
