Powis Castle........................................................................................ the gardens

A few more images of the gardens at Powis Castle.

The views from the terraces are fantastic.

Looking towards the woodlands.

The clipped Yew "clouds" are massive... and were originally planted during the 18th century.

 There are statues everywhere... this is Hercules slaying the Hydra.

Now that's what I call a Birdbath!

Looking back up to the castle from the formal gardens.
We must go back in a few weeks time when all the flowers are in bloom... it's a wonderful sight.

    Rather disappointingly small hydra there, needs to have a few more heads and be few hundred yars longer

    repeat after me... I do NOT need that birdbath in my garden... LOL... and those views are AMAZING.. what a beautiful place it is and I could sit and stare at the views for hours
