Look who I had in the garden this morning......................... first one in 10 years

While I was getting ready for work this morning I was chasing squirrels off the bird feeders.
A quick bang on the window usually sends them packing but today they were very blasé.
All of a sudden one on the fence launched itself about 10 foot and legged it after landing.
Seconds later it all made sense.... as a Fox jumped over my fence.

I grabbed my little point and shoot and got a few images from my front door.
Half dressed in just a shirt, underpants and slippers...luckily my house isn't overlooked.

Calm as you like it just walked slowly around me and out on it's way.
It's probably the same fox we've seen in Mandys garden and on the estate during the past few weeks
It's another species for my garden list... and a confident one at that.

  3. An exciting turn of events, one the squirrels could have done without I 'm sure. Thank you so much for visiting my blog while I was away. I hope your week is going well.

  4. A nice sight to see first thing in the morning.
Given it's view, I wonder if the fox was thinking the same thing!?...[;o)

  6. Is it an Urban fox or do you live in a rural location like me. Only ever seen one urban one up in London, did not look that healthy either.

  20. I have a resident fox,too - she is unafraid of people. We have to clap to keep her far enough away.

  21. Isn't it strange how they are as common as seeing a cat stroll by here in London (in fact they have reached the level of nuisance factor) yet you rarely see them in your beautiful part of the country.

  22. The sly old fox was up to no good. Always great to see them wandering around though.

  23. Its clear that he/she was searching for easier to catch food then in the wild. Just like people they get also more urbanized.

  24. What a wonderful surprise! Food was probably on his/her mind.
