a diary of my walks in the countryside
Quite a yardbird count for sure! A pretty jay.
Lets hope it returns. They are noisy blighters but very attractive.
How wonderful. I have never had one in my garden.
A nice pic Andrew, I'd love one in my tree, mind you, my tree is little.
Bizarrely my sister spotted her first one yesterday too, in Highgate Wood in London. She sent me a very simlar, but rather blurrier, photographCheers!http://creamcrackerednature.blogspot.co.uk/
That's a great new addition to your garden tick list Andrew...[;o)
Congrats!!!! Love that Jay. Very colorful!
Did it take any food? A great bird to get in the garden.
Pretty good for your little garden. I must do a ird species count in mine on the farm. Our 3 acre garden on the mountain yielded 68.
wow....that is a lot for one little space.... For the reputation of being kind of "brash" ... I've only seen one as well...they get a bad rap.....
Not bad at all!
Quite a beautiful bird if you look at it closely!
