Red Admiral and Comma.............................................. butterflies at Tatton Park

The late summer butterflies were plentiful in the fruit and vegetable gardens at Tatton Park.

Red Admiral (Vanessa atalanta)

I can't remember the last time I saw so many... it's been a great year for my local wildlife.

Red Admirals have been my favourite butterfly since childhood.

Comma (Polygonia c-album)
Commas were also in good numbers...  another of natures beauties.
