Starling............................................................................ on the fat ball feeder

I have spent most of this weekend out in the garden... tidying up and planting a few new flowers.

The Starlings are enjoying the fat balls...

... and are probably the most colourful birds I have in my garden at the moment.

I hope to get out walking next weekend so hopefully have more wildlife to share.

Such incredible detail of these beautiful birds. They are much maligned, I think. We had a nesting pair for a few years and they were lovely. Enjoy your week. - Karen

The oil purples and greens on the Starlings are brilliant when the light shines on them like that. From Findlay

I can just see the ornery twinkle in his eye ... and even a slight smile. They are beautiful birds even though their reputation is a little tarnished :)
