River Weaver reed beds................................................. plans for the weekend

I have a free Saturday morning coming up hopefully.
(life's been pretty unpredictable so far this year).

My local river (The River Weaver) has some mature reed beds between Acton Bridge and Duttons Lock.

The aim is to spend the morning sitting on my backside capturing images of the warblers.
Reed and Sedge Warblers are in good numbers and singing well... far easier to hear than to see.

Juvenile Sedge Warbler captured last summer.

It's a short walk up to the locks so my knees should be okay...

...there are plenty of grassy places to sit patiently (in dry weather) letting the birds come to you.

Reed Warbler.
It's been a day of heavy rain... so fingers crossed the weather changes for the weekend.

Lovely captures, Andrew - I think it would be wonderful to sit among the reeds and watch them play!

River weaver....that's even hard to say in the mind, silently, without it being a tongue twister.

Great images.
Thanks for sharing your link this weekend.
