I have already posted about this years first boat trip on the River Weaver...
I took some video clips during our journey to and from Duttons Lock.
I hope it gives you some idea of what my local river is like... loads of reed beds for the warblers.
Mandy's Dad... Alan.
It's hard to believe he had a quintuple heart bypass just a few weeks ago... his recovery is going really well.

the river looks peaceful. i like the reflections of the bridges and the gate/lock/channel passage is neat.
Nice video. Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful scenery.
Oh, VERY nice boat!
And it's definitely hard to believe the man in that last photo had a quintuple bypass mere weeks ago.

That would be fun! Nice boat! I'm glad to hear he's doing better!
Great looking boat
First of all, your father-in-law does indeed look amazing to have had a quintuple bypass so recently!! Incredible! My best wishes to him and family!! I do love the video! Next best thing to being on the water myself!! Thank you, Andrew, for sharing with us! Hope you and your family have a wonderful weekend!!

I am so in love with canal boats -- you have no idea. We were lucky enough to take a day cruise on the Thames ... it was a highlight for me. If we had more time and more money we'd come back and rent one ourselves. Dream vacation for me!
You had a holiday on the river, great photos.
Loved the video Andrew, so nice to hear the birds twittering away in the bushes on the river bank. As much as sailing on the ocean terrifies me, I love the idea of cruising the canals.
