The Sparrowhawk is definitely my favorite followed by the Magpie! Favorite meaning the birds themselves. All the photos are beautiful! Have a Happy New Year!

Have a Great New Year Andrew...[;o)
Very cute birds.
Happy and Prosperous New Year.
That Sparrowhawk is a beauty. I hope it didn't eat too many of your other garden birds. I hope your knees are alot better for you in 2014. from Findlay
love love love every one of these and the magpie and sparrow hawk got 4 loves.. wow. you are getting better an better. i wish you many photo ops in the new year. Happy new Year,
Happy, healthy New year's wishes for you, Andrew.
Each and every one is beautiful!! Happy New Year!!
It always boggles my mind that there are so many birds in other places that I have never seen (and may never see). Your birds are beautiful and all so very different than my birds even though some go by the same names. Your Sparrowhawk is much like our Sharpshin or even Coopers Hawk, though the Coopers Hawk are bigger and the eyes are red. The American Kestrel is often called a Sparrow Hawk in different parts of the country so it could all get very confusing ... But I love learning about them so I have greatly appreciate your posts over the year. I hope this New Year does bring you more of the same and some different for you to share with us ... Happy New Year, Andrew!

Pretty variety of birds. The Goldfinches are my favorite!
No, don't cover up the hole in the fence. I think it is wonderful that some birds consider the hole to be the entrance to your yard, and come through there rather than flying over the top of the fence. This is one of the funniest, best things in my experience as a blogger...birds sneaking in the hard way instead of taking the easy way in.
The first photo here is my favourite. So funny, the Great Tit clinging to the bird feeder but leaning 'way out to the side to investigate green buds.
I'm not a birder, but I love to see birds.
Happy New Year to you and yours, Andrew.

Great series. Happy New Year
Wonderful shots, I love the Magpie! Happy New Year!
Nice shots! I actually saw a goldfinch two days ago - not a lot of overlap between the birds we see day by day!
Thanks for all the comments over the past year!
Cheers - Stewart M - Melbourne!
Wonderful pictures of birds
Happy New Year !
Happy New Year Andrew. Love the new header, love the 2 perched Goldies too
all great shots Andrew but I'm kind of amazed at the 'blue' hues on the magpie; that really shows up well. The Siskin reminds me of a canary. Love the robin, as always. Best wishes for 2014
Beautiful examples of your feathered friends -- Happy New Years Andrew!
No, do not do that...ha ha that hole in the fence has brought you many wonderful images and they delight us...those birds need that for escape too...the big bad Coopie cannot go through that hole...Happy New Year~
I love them all without exception. You really have had a great year for beautiful garden birds.
Hope the one just started is even better.
Hugs . . . Arija

You started the year well Andrew. All the best for 2014.
Happy New Year Andrew. have a great one!! big big hugs. ( :
Wonderful birds! Happy birding 2014!
Absolutely outstanding!!! Now, I have a question...that peanut feeder...where do you buy peanuts for birds? They are raw peanuts, right? I have a feeder like yours, but I used some manufactured nuggets that was supposed to be a bird food, but the birds never touched them. I want to fill it with peanuts.
Great photos and you have a very interesting garden.
Very nice selection of birds at your feeders!
Happy New Year 2014 for you and your family! Let your dreams become reality!
Absolutely stunning birds. The Sparrowhawk is magnificent. Lucky you having such a great variety.
