My first walks in the countryside........................................... for three months

I have been out for a walk twice over the weekend... and both times for a couple of hours.
On Saturday I carried nothing... no camera no binoculars to keep the weight on my knees to a minimum.
I felt a bit sore towards the end of the walk but my medication masks the pain I was feeling a short time ago.

Sunday was a lovely sunny day so we decided to take a walk to Haydn's Pool from Marbury Country Park.

This time I carried my little point and shoot... these images were taken from the car park.

It must be eight months or more since I last visited my favourite place to sit and watch wildlife.
The water level is high but there wasn't a bird to be seen on the water or even a wader on the shore.
I've never known it so quiet... even during the drought at the end of 2011 there was always something to see.

It was a half hour stroll back to the car and I was limping a bit when we reached it... but I have had the best of weekends... I love being out in the countryside.

Wonderful autumn images Andrew..but I do know from experience, as much as you are keen to get out there, take it easy..don't rush things!

Glad you're mobile. The binos and heavy camera gear can be a mental as well as physical burden that may keep us from seeing the "whole picture," Just concentrate on getting well.

Good that you were able to get out and do what you love to do. Just don't overdo it in the beginning.

Beautiful colours there Andrew, shame about the lack of birds, maybe the water level was just too high for them?
Glad that you're getting out and about at last, but take it easy now!...[;o)

Lovely scenes and lovely news! Glad you're able to out and about. (Maybe it's good there weren't any birds this time, you might have jumped for joy and that would have hurt!)....they'll be there next time I bet!

Good to hear you are out and about again. I think you need to pass the info on to the local bird life so they will be there to greet you next time. Love the sun set photo.
