Twister.......................................................................... and the bird seed race

I know I have too many bird feeders in my garden but they do all have a purpose.
My aim is to attract as many different bird species as I can into my little garden so I offer a choice of foodstuffs...
...from sunflower hearts to peanuts suet balls and fruit.

While buying seed to top up my stock at my local garden centre I spotted this feeder on offer...
...called a "Twister" it has three separate tubes inside for a choice of seeds.
I thought it would look neat in my garden so bought it.

I filled the first compartment with Sunflower Hearts the second with Black Sunflower seeds (same seed but with the husks still on... more mess but cheaper).
The third section I filled with "Finches Favourite" a blend of Nyger Seed, Sunflower Hearts and Red Millet.

The "Twister" had only been in the garden for about two minutes when it had it's first visitor...
...and the best I could have wished for... a Goldfinch.

It's going to be interesting to see which compartment needs refilling first... my money is on the hearts.
The big bird seed race is on!
---------------------------------

Where to buy one? ...the Twist feeder is supplied by Nature's Feast in the UK.
I hope this helps.

Well, Buddy just walked in and says we HAVE to have one of these. sWe are going to goggle it online and see if we can find us one, Like the way you mix it all up to attract the different birds. We mix, but you are way more organized with it than us, Thanks for the post.

Hi Andrew Tell all, everyone wants one, now where did you get it or at least tell me what make it is PLEASE. Now if it was in my garden at present the birds are eating me out of home with blackflower seeds and not the sunflower hearts. Last year, it would have been the sunflower hearts. My birds seem to go off some food and change to others.

The bird is beautiful (sure I've told you that I'm jealous of your goldfinch...I love ours but ....)

And that is the coolest birdfeeder I've ever seen in my life. Can't wait to read the race results.

A great concept for a feeder. The true test will be if the tree rats leave it alone. Good luck with that.

It's a Nature's Feast one but unfortunately they don't seem keen on making any money because it's not possible to buy it from their website O.o
