The rest of the bunch......................................... that use the hole in my fence

The Robin from my last post was the first bird I saw sitting in the hole in my garden fence...
... a few pics of the other birds that are using it.

Blackbirds are by far the biggest birds to hop through the fence...this male was the first...

...closely followed by other members of his family.

It's the Dunnocks that are using it the most at the moment...

...being ground feeders they hop down searching for insects and picking up scraps below the feeders.

There is no one way system in place... the birds come and go as they please.

It can get a bit congested at times... especially when the House Sparrows are around.

The Blue Tit's feed on the fence... picking out insects and spiders.

Sorry but I had to end with another Robin shot... he looks like a sentry guarding his post in this shot.

Well that's the last "hole in the fence shot" for a while (maybe not lets wait and see)...
...thanks for all your suggestions about how to save the hole when the fence finally does get replaced.

That's awesome! Have you kept track of how many different species you've seen or photographed using the hole? I still think a new hole could be purposely cut as part of the new fence. The birds definitely like it!

Now there's another reason for funding the "Old Fence Preservation Society", new fences would not be an instant food source for the blue tits! Be very careful, by erection of a new fence you could be treading on egg shells as far as feeding rights of blue tits are concerned.

That's a major thoroughfare, how can you possibly not replace the hole? I see right-of-way lawsuits if you don't put a hole in the new fence.
