It's not much fun just resting up all day... so I am grateful to have my garden birds to entertain me.

No use in mending a fence when the birds enjoy the short-cut ;)
they sure love that hole in the fence, i would leave it there, it is worth the entertainment value. hope you are feeling better..

I always think if the wildlife are using it, then leave it. I think my husband thinks that too as the repair list is getting longer!

What a sweet spot for the birds! The Blue Tit is such a pretty bird. I am immobile a lot of the time as I have MS. I took up birdwatching out my windows, and they are very entertaining!

I didn't see your post last week, so I read it just now. I hope you are recovering well. I know people who have had knee replacements, and hip replacements, and have been thrilled with the results.
Meanwhile, I'm glad you didn't fix the hole in the fence. The birds seem to find it irresistible. What fun for you to watch as you recuperate.

So sorry to hear you are still having knee problems after all this time. My doctors tell me I have bone on bone in mine. I haven't had the courage to have a replacement yet and meds keep me going for now. Such a big decision.

HI Andrew Hope you are recovery quickly now but you are being entertained as you see what pops through the hole. I would not mend it, it is great to see what bird will use it next. great shots of these 2 birds.
