I can always rely on my garden birds.................................... for entertainment

It's not much fun just resting up all day... so I am grateful to have my garden birds to entertain me.

I still haven't got around to mending my fence...
...probably just as well as more birds than ever are using the hole to come and go.
No sooner had I captured an image of this little Blue Tit...

...when a juvenile House Sparrow decided to have a go.

Many thanks to everyone for your comments and best wishes on my last post... you are all so kind.

No use in mending a fence when the birds enjoy the short-cut ;)

you need to keep that avian gateway as it is. :)

I always think if the wildlife are using it, then leave it. I think my husband thinks that too as the repair list is getting longer!

Don't fix the garden fence, please. What do the birds think, huh.

I don't think you should fix the fence. The birds seem to enjoy it as it is.

What a sweet spot for the birds! The Blue Tit is such a pretty bird. I am immobile a lot of the time as I have MS. I took up birdwatching out my windows, and they are very entertaining!

I didn't see your post last week, so I read it just now. I hope you are recovering well. I know people who have had knee replacements, and hip replacements, and have been thrilled with the results.
Meanwhile, I'm glad you didn't fix the hole in the fence. The birds seem to find it irresistible. What fun for you to watch as you recuperate.

Beautiful bird! Nice passage for them!

I think I'd leave the hole. They must feel comfortable coming in that way. Both cute shots!
So sorry to hear you are still having knee problems after all this time. My doctors tell me I have bone on bone in mine. I haven't had the courage to have a replacement yet and meds keep me going for now. Such a big decision.
I wish you all the best.
And, I love that header shot. Looks like the deer felt he needed a little camouflage. :)

As long as you have a window and a garden I assume you will have something to watch!

It looks like the perfect gateway for these cute little birds - and it looks as though it adds some interest to your bird viewing.

I think there would be outrage from your followers if you ever mended that hole in the fence - your blog just wouldn't be the same without it! Take care of yourself!

HI Andrew Hope you are recovery quickly now but you are being entertained as you see what pops through the hole. I would not mend it, it is great to see what bird will use it next. great shots of these 2 birds.
