Well we did it again yesterday... another trip to get a few more bargains to fill a few gaps.
Mandy said we were using her car more like a "wheelbarrow"
The "wheelbarrow" description is probably more apt than flower pot...
...plastic bags at least kept the back seat clean.
A few of our purchases... most are still in their pots as we try to get the balance right.
Another purchase was this all metal peanut feeder... another attempt to keep the squirrels at bay.

I know they will find a way to destroy it... but hopefully it will last longer than it's predecessors.
The garden is looking good Andrew.
ReplyDeleteThe metal peanut feeders are good. It slows them down a lot; but they still squeeze the nuts through the holes.
what the wheelbarrow brings home the birds will love and so do I
ReplyDeletegood luck with the varmints!
ReplyDeleteThose nasty squirrels! Pretty flowers and I love the cute birds. Great shots!
ReplyDeleteThat wheelbarrow looks just the job Andrew! Your garden is going to look stunning with all those colourful plants.
ReplyDeleteIt'll be interesting to see how that feeder fares?...[;o)
Whilst you were at the garden centre I spotted a squirrel buying a tin opener at Morrisons, but I am sure you have nothing to worry about! ;)
ReplyDeleteHi Andrew... Looks like you two are having a fun time, and the garden gets the benefit, as well as the birds butterfly and you !!
ReplyDeleteDo hope you bought a butterfly bush plant, they love it!!
Love Heather Wilde's comment!!

ReplyDeleteBest of luck with the new feeder Andrew.
ReplyDeleteThe garden looks great .. very colourful.
Nice, both the birds and the SAAB!
ReplyDeletegood luck with the new bird feeder; it looks great and the flowers will bring a long-term joy; lovely purchases
ReplyDeleteGood company, Andrew! I also use the back of my car for a "garden shed". Think you're going to have a beauty when all these plants are settled in the garden. And you're very nice--am I supposed to shell the peanuts for the blue jays? :-) If they were as cute as your blues today, perhaps I would!
ReplyDeleteI have to say those shots of the flowers in the car could be print ads for sure. I love them!
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, cute bird shots too. :)
I hope your gorgeous birds get a few feeds before the squirrels get there!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful flowers and a very nice "container" for them. The birds look to be enjoying the nuts.
ReplyDeleteSweet little bird! I bought a metal feeder too. Didn't keep the squirels away. I have had great luck with a pole systemthat hangs 4feeders and has a baffle on the pole. The critters cannot get to the feeders!
ReplyDeleteNice to see these garden birds again - I could call them by name, but the spam filter may get upset!!
ReplyDeleteAlso like the sparrow post from last week, which I think I missed.
Cheers and thanks for linking to WBW.
