During our trip along the river last weekend we were fortunate to see lots of birds with their new families.
This Coots nest was just across the river from the jetty... I counted five little heads.

Canada Geese... there were thirteen gosling's in this little group.
Mallards with ducklings were all along the river.

... as were the juvenile Great Crested Grebes.
Oh! and plenty of young rabbits... this little fella had no fear and let me get quite close.

The Great Crested Grebe chicks are gorgeous. No baby Squirrels? oops!
You captures some real nice close-up there Andrew - the young grebes in particular. And separated from their parents at this time of year is a difficult shot to get.
Wonderful photos.
I've never seen them that young with the colored fuzz on their heads. So cute! Nice to see the baby geese.
Love seeing all of those little ones swimming.
That looks like a population explosion. Nature is wonderful at any time but the breeding season is just so very special.
Thanks Drew . . . xox
Such lovely photos of the sweet little children! We saw the first Mute Swans kids the other day, here in Sweden.

Passei para admirar suas fotografias.
Ótima e criativas fotos da natureza selvagem. Os coelhos são muito rápidos e ariscos, é muito difícil fotografar um livre na natureza, parabéns!!!
