New life on the River Weaver............................................................................

During our trip along the river last weekend we were fortunate to see lots of birds with their new families.

This Coots nest was just across the river from the jetty... I counted five little heads.

Moorhen with it's chick... there was a second chick sleeping about a foot further along the bank

Canada Geese... there were thirteen gosling's in this little group.

Mallards with ducklings were all along the river.

The older ducklings were fending for themselves...

... as were the juvenile Great Crested Grebes.

Oh! and plenty of young rabbits... this little fella had no fear and let me get quite close.

  12. You captures some real nice close-up there Andrew - the young grebes in particular. And separated from their parents at this time of year is a difficult shot to get.

    Passei para admirar suas fotografias.
Ótima e criativas fotos da natureza selvagem. Os coelhos são muito rápidos e ariscos, é muito difícil fotografar um livre na natureza, parabéns!!!
