Cooling down on a hot summers day...............................................................

I say "hot summers day" with a big pinch of salt... but at least the sun has been shining.
The female Blackbird in my garden enjoyed the fresh water in my bird bath to have a good wash.

Nothing to read on this post....  just a bit of  "splish splashing!" to view.

It was fun to watch...
... but I'm not too sure that the spa treatment worked from the look on her face.

Funny shots- looked like she had a good bath despite her disposition when she was finished!

She obviously enjoyed her bath Andrew!
But are you sure you should have been watching? Going by the look she's giving you in the last image, I don't think she approved!...[;o)

You do need to keep the feathers in tip top condition - even if she does not seem to pleased about it!

Cheers and thanks for linking to WBW - Stewart M

You know what it's like that early morning shower. It just wakes you up even if you don't feel like beginning the day.

All birds look so disgusted by the end of the bath! The robins here love the bird bath out back. Nice shots!
