It was bright sunshine for a while in the garden this morning... and all the feeders are topped up.
Here are just a few of the birds that dropped by.
Goldfinches are always lovely birds to see... and I am getting plenty at the moment.
They love the sunflower hearts.
Greenfinch.
A tiny Long-tailed Tit was gathering nesting material.
The male Blackbird was also scratching around in the undergrowth.
House Sparrow...
... and more shots of the Goldfinch to finish off with.

Your goldfinch is so colorful. It don't look like our goldfinch here in the United State.
ReplyDeleteVisiting from Weekly top shot.
Fantastic variety! I love your Goldfinches with their red and black masks. The Long-tailed Tit and Blackbird are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWow - such sharp details. Really gorgeous photos!
ReplyDeleteGreat series and beautiful birds. My favorite bird is the Goldfinch!
ReplyDeleteThe finch images are stupendous. I've not seen one of these in our yard....yet. So, color me hopeful and a bit jealous!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful finch series!! Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
ReplyDeleteSeriously, that's a goldfinch? They look so different from ours, which look like little lemondrops when they get their summer coloring! Yours is really beautiful - whomever named them "goldfinches" ignored all their other colors! :-)
ReplyDeleteI ADORE that first photo!!
With Green and Gold finches you must spend lots of time topping those sunflower seeds up and sweeping up afterwards Andrew.
