I first put out this bottle feeder on the 19th of September wondering how long it would last before the squirrels destroyed it.
Well here it is with my little Robin... still going strong albeit a little chewed up in places.
It's below freezing outside so I only managed a few shots this morning before retreating back indoors.
Dunnock.
Coal Tit.
All the feeders are very busy at the moment...
Blue Tit.
i love the colors of the robin, but that little titmouse makes me smile
ReplyDeleteSo sweet of you to take such good care of our little bird friends, Andrew! And so nice that they show their gratitude by being such lovely models for your delightful photos! :-) I'm glad the squirrels have left your feeder pretty much in tact.
ReplyDeleteI just adore your little robins, and that first photo is particularly precious! I thought the Coal Tit was a chickadee! I'll have to look it up and see if they're related, they look so alike. I've never seen a Blue Tit before, and love his facial markings and pretty colorings. He was sure studying you!
I sure enjoy your wonderful blog!
so neat. ( :
ReplyDeleteGreat shots of your feeder visitors Andrew! Your Robins are just gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteHello Andrew!
ReplyDeleteNice birds at this feeder. It's not the feeder that is important, it's the seeds the're after...
Have a nice Sunday!
Louise
that's awesome! who would have thought plastic would last! :)
ReplyDeleteIt has certainly held up well! The robin is a beautiful bird! Funny how your Coal Tit is essentially our Chickadee.
ReplyDeleteThanks in favor of sharing such a nice thinking, post

Being chewed up in places probably doesn't bother the birds one iota!!! Fantastic images once again Andrew!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up this weekend.
always delightful Drew to see your birds enjoying their days fueled up with your generous offerings. That means trudging out in the cold and damp air but the rewards are many as you step back indoors, proven by your wonderful photographs
ReplyDeleteI must look again through your blog to see what you use for a camera, you always get such great photos!
ReplyDeleteYour robin is a fav of mine, phyllis
Good captures!
ReplyDeleteit certainly has lasted well - great to see so many birds visiting - I'm sad that I don't get as many now that next door has hacked his trees and bushes back - it's a bit too open for them now even though I keep the feeders stocked up - they're still coming just not nearly as many :-(
ReplyDeleteThey are all beauties, but I do love the Blue Tit!
ReplyDeleteI am sure that if a Grey Squirrel did get hold of it Andrew, it wouldn't last long at all! I have had 'squirrel proof' feeders destroyed by these little blighters!
