This was only the third time in nearly eight years I had seen a Nuthatch visiting my garden.
It was the black sunflower seeds that proved to be the favourite seed for most of my garden visitors this year... including the squirrels.
Sunflower seeds were the preferred choice of the Nuthatches.
A beautiful bird I see often when wandering around my local woodlands... great to see them in my garden.

ReplyDeleteHi Andrew... Black oil is all I use,a lot of the mixed seed gets wasted, because the birds only like a few seeds in them!!

ReplyDeleteHi Andrew, in my garden the Nuthatches like the Black Sunflower seeds and any kind of nut. Great photos my friend, I find the Nuthatch and the Chickadee (Tit) very hard to photograph as they do not linger long.
