I have been sharing pictures of my little garden Robin using the hole in my fence as his entrance to and fro.
I have captured a Dunnock doing the same... both birds are now regulars.
I was surprised this morning to see both a Blue, then a Coal Tit having a go.
They were around long enough for me to capture a couple of record shots.
"I've heard there is a special entrance to the garden around here"
"It's just down there I think"
"It's behind you"
"It's a bit scary... should we knock before going in?"
"I'm not sure if I want to... the Robin gets cross"
"Whose making all that noise!"
"Don't you know this is private property!"
"Mmmm where have they gone?"
"I hate early Trick or Treaters... nothing but trouble!"
"Bah! Humbug!... I don't think they'll be back.
All the images were captured this morning.
Apologies for the captions but I still have my leg up and am so bored... I am also considering cutting out this hole and placing it into the new fence... if I ever get around to replacing it.

I do so love your pics and commentary, hope the knee gets better soon.
made me snicker. i like that little doorway. :)
Great set of photos & commentary...
Sorry you're still having trouble with that leg - loving the captions!
Don't do the job on the fence, it's popular. Lovely photos.
LOL! That's funny! Obviously, word is getting around about that "secret" entrance! Nice shots!
Very sweet birds and excellent shots.
Spectacular color on these feathered friends.
Both hole visitors are beautiful. I vote on not replacing the fence.
Good grief, you don't have to apologize for the captions....they're hilarious! I loved the 'hole' thing! And I needed the smiles --- they're wonderful pictures and just...the whole post .... is great!
Absolutely amazing photos. I can not stop looking ... great work.
Greetings.
Fantastic pictures!
I am so happy you came by my blog and commented. You have a wonderful blog! I don't get many nature shots to post but I try. Living in the desert is interesting! I love the coal tit and the robin! I remember learning that English robins were cute little guys not the larger distinctive robins we have in the US when I read The Secret Garden. Both of these birds are so cute, and I love that they found the hole in the fence!
