I decided to wrap up warm and just sit with my camcorder with the patio doors wide open.
Within half an hour I had enough clips to make this little film of my garden birds using the hole in my fence to come and go from my garden.
Robin needs no introduction ...the little brown bird is a Dunnock.

One little chap couldn't wait to get in on the act so I gave him a small role...
...he's playing the part of a Grey Squirrel (over acting in my opinion).
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As I was locking up last night I spotted a Blue Tit land in the hole.
The patio doors were closed and if I had tried to open them he would have flown... so this clip was shot through the glass.
The clip has had a bit of help from Youtube to lighten it as it was getting quite dark.
Many thanks for watching.

you can never fix that fence. :)
your squirrel looks well-nourished.
you are blessed to have all this free entertainment out side your door while you are housebound.
If you ever sell the house Andrew you'll have to declare that hole as a public right of way!!
I've noticed that Squirrels always try to build up their part...lol...[;o)
Nice videos, Andrew! You definitely should leave the hole in the fence!
Great footage those squirrels make me laugh they remind me of the movie lampoons christmas vacation with Chevvy Chase... Have you seen it when they bring a christmas tree into the the house along with a squirrel critter which wreaks havoc in the house, so funny. If you haven't seen it watch it this crimbo;-)
Please don't ever mend that hole!!! My Mum said this week that she'd seen robins again after a long while without!
Fixing the hole when the rain comes in........................
Love that robin, the perfect rounded shape, and I even warmed to the furry fella....sorry!
Wonderful. Makes me think I need to do some video myself. Its been awhile.
What a treat for me to get to see your videos. I loved watching our feathered friends go in and out and eat. You did a wonderful job with them. Thanks so much for sharing. genie
Hi Drew...I'm late, I know...Love those videos...and PLEASE...DO NOT FIX THAT HOLE! Rain was no problem...it was great to see the bird and the squirrel. I could not say it was shot through the window glass...If you say so...
